Remembering Earl “Earl Mann” Ackerman, Jr.

It is with a heavy heart that ND Broadcasters said goodbye to Radio Legend “Earl Mann” aka Earl Ackermann, Jr. last week on May 6th.

Earl’s golden voice graced the airwaves for over 50 years earning him the “Pioneer Award” through the North Dakota Broadcasters Association in 2005.

Earl was a true pioneer in the radio industry beginning with his first job at KOVC in Valley City, next on to KFGO, across the state, in between and, finishing his career at KLTC in Dickinson.

NDBA is most fortunate to have Earl’s son, Tom, serve on the Board for many years.

Earl’s legacy and many contributions to ND Broadcasters will continue to live on and cherished for a lifetime….he is a true Champion and will never be forgotten!
