Midwest Communication’s heritage news-talk leader WKZO has a rare opening for News Director of our extremely active newsroom in Kalamazoo, MI.
You’ll follow in the footsteps of broadcast legends like Paul Harvey, Tom Snyder, and Harry Caray. At the same time, we’re also a leader in online and social media to make a big impact in Michigan’s 14th largest city that is also the home to four colleges, including Western Michigan University.
We’re looking for a take-charge person who is organized, a good story-teller, a self-starter, and able to embrace new technology. You’ll help organize and be backed by other Midwest Communication newsrooms around Michigan.
WKZO is also a leader in the farming community, so a NAFB certification is preferred.
We offer a competitive salary and a full benefits package. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required for this position.
Send an mp3 of your best work and your resume to Coordinator of MI News Operations, Ken Delaney at email@example.com or mail to Ken’s attention at 182 N. Angola Road, Coldwater, MI 49036.
