R & J Broadcasting, Inc., a privately owned, family-operated company, is seeking a motivated, energetic, and creative team player to join our staff as a <\/span>Full-Time News Reporter & Sports Announcer<\/b> for KSDM & KGHS Radio in International Falls, Minnesota.<\/span><\/p>\n

Position Overview<\/b><\/h3>\n

This role combines news reporting, sports broadcasting, and multimedia content creation. The ideal candidate is organized, self-driven, and passionate about local storytelling and live sports coverage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Gather, write, and deliver daily news and sports reports at the local, regional, state, and national levels<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Create written and multimedia content for station websites and social media platforms<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Provide live play-by-play (PxP) announcing for radio and live-streamed broadcasts<\/span>\n
      \n
    • Coverage includes: Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Swim & Diving, Wrestling, Basketball, Baseball\/Softball, and Track & Field<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Host a weekly sports show, including scheduling and conducting guest interviews<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Edit audio and video content for on-air programming and promotional use<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Qualifications<\/b><\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Strong communication and storytelling skills<\/span><\/li>\n
      • \/Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Understanding of play-by-play announcing (all levels of experience encouraged to apply)<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Basic computer, audio, and phone skills<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
